Family is here, bring on the holidays
Today (monday) I have my last final, its at 430 which makes practice early. It a math test and I get to bring a peice of paper with formulas. A girl who took it early gave me her not sheet so Im set. Girls handwriting is so much easier to understand. Ill read it over around noon when I wake up jsut so Im not confused at the exam.
Regardless practice wasnt bad this morning and I swam my pace with kate z this morning. Her coach was out of town at a coaches conference so it was jsut her. Kate without Ray Benecki on the pool deck is kinda werid. Hes her associate and there always together. Which is werid cua when she does our practices, hes the one coaching us. Gives me impression he dont trust my ocach with her. Whatev
Over the weekend, I did a couple of things. Sitting on my ass, shopping, listening to records, meeting katies extended family, made cookies.
After seeing the dillinger escape plan, I slept in until about noon on Friday. Katie stopped by and gave me a kiss and said she was leaving for home. Made me sad, Holidays and summer breaks are something to look forward to but at the same time a bit lonely. I was really sleepy and fell back to sleep until about 2. When I woke up, I sat around until 4 playing ont he computer and listening to the new LP I picked up at the show. The band Genghis Tron is pretty bad ass and out there. They use syth and drum machines and the sound changes from quiet to practicall grind metal. I LIKE IT. I also listened to the elliott Smith “basement on a hill” LP whitney got me which was sweet cuz I use to listen to it alot. Its funny that music gets wrapped up in personal moments cuz it started to remind me of memories when I was single right before I met katie, I remember listening to that LP alot. It wasnt like they were bad memories, jsut alot of walking around trying to figure things out while the album was on my ipod.
Getting back to my friday, I finally got up at 4 and decided to weight lift. I like lifting, but I hate doing it alone and there is no music in the new weight room at the aquatic center. Plus I use to lift with Damien and he wasnt around. Having a partner makes you no cut corners. After that I met up with David and had dinner at his familes house. I think they invited me partially becasue I can eat alot and there trying to clear out there fridge before they go on there cruise. Regardless pork roast kicks ass. After that we went to the mall and I tried to finad gifts for people left on my list which included mom, grand parents and katies sibs. Everyone looke dat me werid fro wanting to get her sibs gifts. I figure Ive been dating there sister and they ahve been around me for little less than 2 years that it about time I get them something since I hope there fond of me. Regardless my trip was kinda snuffed when I forgot my debt card.
After that we met up with jeremy an his lady friend jenn and headed to buffalo wing. Dave didnt wanna stay out too late and I didnt wanna drink cuz I had practice the next day. ANd a good thing for that, my swim coach was at the bar celebrating Doug chestnuts bday. We ate wings, talked alot and jsut had a good time. The first tiem I met jenn at jeremys b-day, I didnt care for her partially cuz she was at tiffanys hip the whole night, she didnt really talk to me or my Gf. It rubbed me the wronge way and for the rest of the night, I jsut threw stuff at her and was a dick. Regardless for my shitty actions, she was pretty cool and fun to chill with. She kept finding it odd at the things I made fun of her or laughed about cuz I guess jeremy is the same way. Jeremy and I are very much photo copies of each other. I guess thats why katie cant be around both of us, cuz it like dealign with 2 of me…ones enough for ehr to handle.
After 2 pitchers and two baskets of wings, we decided to go other ways. I dropped off dave, wished him luck on his cruise and went to my apartment. I tried to go to bed early but I ended up playig on my comp and talkign to katie ont eh phone. I went to bed much earlier then msot nights but Ill only give myself half credit. I had to apologize to katie becasue at the bar I told her I was with friends and wasnt specific. I didnt really name who I was with becase at the time I forgot what jenns name was and ddidnt want to be caled out for my shitty job with names. Plus I couldnt hear her well. Regardless we talked on the phone for a while and its always nice hear her voice, if thats all I can get.
Satarday was followed by practice, sleeping and waking up wanting a sidekick for shopping. With david gone, katie far away, I IMed catlin impink. She and claire were going to barnes and noble and I figured company is better then no company. They werent interested in shipping in the palces I had in mind, but I went anyway. I liek weems and catlin alot so I went. Sometimes you dont really care what your doing, you just want to be around people. We also went to safeway and I bought milk and some eggos….Leggo.
After that I sat around and worked on katies present. Id talk about what it is but I fear she will read this post. After that I went to my hosue for dinner and see patrick and grace wehn they showed up. Eric and I made a quick run to kohls and gamesop to do some shopping. The hurried back, dinner was enjoyable now that the whole family is together which was followed by decorating the christmas Tree. around 1230 I headed home. I heard there wasnt anything going on so I went to ym room and lsitened to LPs and looking on the internet for music to steal.
I woke sunday to going to church…meh.. I dont care for father peters homilies. All her ever mentions is mason basketball or the redskins, I dont give a shit, stop relating them to jesus or throwing a comment in about there for comedic value. I then got dressed and hurried to katies in sterling for ther annual christmas party.
The aprty was nice, kinda chill with good food. I rocked some eggnog and jsut chilled. Met some oft eh relatives and it was nice. I thoguht there would eb intterogation but nothign really. they ahd a gift exchnage and it was sjut a nice experience. Not a loud koucheravy affair but still good. After the aprt we went abck to her house and sat in the hot tub. Freezing cold air and wind plus hot tub equals awsome. I sat in that hot tub 3 times longer then I usually do. If you get over heated, you jsut stood up for a couple of seconds, it was excellent. Plus seeing katie ina bikini is always a highlight ot the day…shes gorgeous and all mine..MINE
After that I drove home, had dinner with my mom and sibs and amde ginger bread. There is something really enjoyable about cooking, I jsut like being engrossed with making soemthing. Around 10 I headed home and went to bed around 11. Talked tot he lovely girl and passed out.
